Technical Requirements

What do I need to perform on LiveJasmin.com?

We are happy to welcome you to our LiveJasmin community. As a starter, let us introduce what you need to go online and stream on the site. Once you registered as a Model, all you need is a good quality web camera, a computer and an internet connection to start. However, for the perfect streaming quality, the right equipment is crucial. The better grade camera, stronger computer and faster connection you have, the higher quality your stream will be, which in turn will result in more satisfied visitors and higher earnings for you.

Once you have the equipment, you will be able to go online via our own JasminCam streaming application and start your show right away.

Below you can see the technical requirements for our JasminCam application. With the minimum requirements you can run the software with a stable image quality, while with the recommended specifications you can stream at a much higher quality which is one of the requirements for the Good Appearance rating. (The browser version of JasminCam should only be used as a temporary backup if the standalone JasminCam software is unavailable.)

We strongly recommend using a desktop PC with ethernet cable connection, instead of a laptop (or notebook) for your work because of performance and heat issues. Notebooks will often downgrade performance in order to prevent heat damage. Furthermore a desktop PC will most likely provide you a wider range of possibilities for future hardware upgrades.

Using MacBook Air is not recommended for online streaming as it’s specifications do not meet the site’s requirements and has no proper Ethernet cable port available, which would be needed for a stable internet connection.

Minimum required specifications

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit, Mac OS X 12.3 or above. All with latest and all updates installed.
  • Processor: Intel 6th generation Core i5 @ 2.50GHz or better, preferably one with Intel QuickSync Video available.
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Internet connection:
    • 1500 kbps (1.5 Mbps) international uploading,
    • and 2000 kbps (2.0 Mbps) downloading speed.
  • webcamera that is able to stream at 1080p Full HD with continuous 30 FPS.
    • To be able to stream on the site you will need a camera with 1920x1080 pixels resolution which can stream at a 30 frames per second (FPS) rate or higher.

To achieve an HD quality and the Good Appearance rating you will need one of our recommended camerasset to a 16:9 resolution in JasminCam.

Recommended specifications (For Full HD streaming - 1080p)

  • The recommended specifications are suitable for running JasminCam only on the computer, In case you are planning to run other applications, stronger computer is needed.

These specifications are strongly recommended for streaming on our site with the standalone JasminCam app. With these conditions visitors are able to view your stream even in 1080p Full HD resolution!
