## 🎯 Using a Splitter? Here's What You Need to Know!

A splitter lets you share your webcam across multiple apps at once. But, if you’re just streaming on LiveJasmin, there’s no need for one.

❌ **Why avoid splitters (if you don’t need them)?**

- May cause lag or syncing issues
- Lead to resolution issues

If you stream on other platforms at the same time, then a splitter may be necessary.

## 🔄  OBS Setup Overview

OBS setup has 5 key sections:

| Preview & Scenes | Displays your stream layout. Only the visible content is broadcast. |
| Scenes Panel | Create and switch between different layout presets. |
| Sources Panel | Add webcam, image, or audio input devices. |
| Audio Mixer | Manage active microphones and monitor volume levels. |
| Settings | Configure resolution, encoding, and frame rate. |

### 📺 Preview & Scenes

- Use the preview window to view your exact output.
- Use scenes to group different configurations.

### 💡Navigation Tips

- Right-click preview > **Preview Scaling > Canvas**
- Hold **Space + Scroll** to zoom
- Hold **Space + Drag** to move canvas

### 🎚️ Sources Panel

1. Click the **+** icon to add:
  - **Video Capture Device** (e.g. webcam)
  - **Audio Input Capture** (e.g. microphone)
2. Configure your webcam:
  - **Resolution/FPS Type**: Custom
  - **Resolution**: 1280×720 or 1920×1080
  - **FPS**: 30
  - **Color Space**: 709
  - **Color Range**: Full
  - **Buffering**: Disabled
3. Order matters — top sources in the list are shown in front

### 🔊 Audio Mixer

- Select the correct input device.
- Mute unwanted devices.
- Keep volume levels in the **yellow zone** (avoid red to prevent distortion)

1. Unzip the file.
2. Open OBS > **Profile > Import**.
3. Select the unzipped folder.
4. Apply the profile.

### 🔧 Basic Setup

1. Right-click the Verysoft icon (in system tray).
2. Set your actual webcam as **Source**.
3. Go to **Source Resolution** and select:
  - 1920×1080
  - 1280×720
  - 864×480 (not recommended)
4. In **Options**:
  - Set **Global FPS limit** to 30
  - Enable **Constant Output FPS**
  - Set **Transformation mode** to _Crop_
  - Set **Deinterlacer** to _Always off_
5. Open JasminCam:
  - Select **Verysoft Webcam Splitter** as camera
  - Choose **1920×1080** resolution
  - Set correct **Microphone**

## ⚠️ Troubleshooting Verysoft

| Issue | Solution |
| --- | --- |
| Black stream | Make sure the source is set to your real camera. |
| Resolution mismatch | Use the same resolution in Verysoft and JasminCam. |
| Lag or freezing | Check CPU usage (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and connection speed. |
| Deinterlace issues | Set to Always off in Options. |
| Poor frame rate | Ensure Global FPS = 30 and Constant Output FPS is enabled. |
