## 🎯 Get Started on macOS: Install JasminCam and stream with confidence

Want to give your Members the best possible show? This guide shows you how to install and set up JasminCam on your macOS computer, so you can start streaming smoothly and without tech issues.

## 🛠️ Installing JasminCam

1. Log in to your **Model account**.
2. Click the **Download JasminCam** button from the **Home menu**.
3. Open the downloaded JCam-osx-installer.dmg file.
4. In the window that appears, **drag and drop JasminCam into the Applications folder**.

## ⚠️ Installation Issues

### Admin Access

- Go to: **System Preferences > Users & Groups**
- Ensure your account has **“Allow user to administer this computer”** enabled.
- If not, switch to an admin account.

### App Security Warning

If macOS blocks the app:

1. Open **System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General**
2. Click the **Lock** icon and enter your admin credentials.
3. Set **“Allow apps downloaded from”** to **Anywhere**.

## 🎛️ Going Live in JasminCam

1. After logging in, you’ll land on the **Offline layout**.
2. In **Quick Settings**:
  - Select your **Camera** as a **Cam Device**
  - Select your **Microphone** as an **Audio Device**
  - Set **Video Quality** to the **highest resolution available**
3. Click on the Go live now button

## 🧩 Camera Troubleshooting

| Issue | Solution |
| --- | --- |
| No image | Install your camera’s dedicated software and ensure macOS version is 13.4 or higher. |
| Pixelation | Close other apps or tabs that may be using the camera. |
| Lagging video | Check for high CPU/RAM usage in Activity Monitor. |
| Camera not recognized | Restart the app or Mac. Try reconnecting the camera. |

## 🎚️ Adjusting Camera Settings

If you want to fine-tune your video quality, use your camera’s **dedicated software**. These apps let you adjust brightness, contrast, focus, and other image settings.

## 🌐 Connection Speed Requirements

| Minimum | 1.5 mpbs | 2 mbps |
| Recommended | 6 mbps | 10 mbps |

Use a **wired connection** for best results.

## 🔥 macOS Firewall & Antivirus

Firewall and antivirus can block your stream.

### Disable Firewall:

1. Go to: **System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall**
2. Click **Lock** and enter your admin credentials.
3. Click **Turn Off Firewall**

## 🧑‍💻 Remote Support Access

Admins may request remote access to help you. They’ll send a **TeamViewer** link.

### Allow TeamViewer Access:

1. Open **Security & Privacy > General**
2. Click the **Lock**, enter admin credentials
3. Set **Allow apps downloaded from** to **Anywhere**
4. Open the TeamViewer file
5. Share your **ID and Password** with Support
6. Keep the window open during the session
